An online presentation of Apple Let Loose took place. The event started on May 7 at 17.00 Moscow time. The list of announcements included: the new iPad Pro, iPad Air, Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. Also introduced is the new M4 chip.

iPad Air

According to the announcement, Apple will release a 13-inch iPad Air for the first time. Thus, users will have the opportunity to choose between two screen sizes (13 and 11 inches) in a more affordable price segment. The design has also been redesigned - the front camera is placed on the edge of the screen.

The new 11-inch tablet features landscape stereo speakers with surround sound, and the 13-inch iPad Air adds dual bass.

The iPad Air's performance is enhanced with the M2 chip, so the new tablet is up to 50% faster. And an artificial intelligence model has been introduced into iPad OS.

The color options have also been updated: now there are 4 colors to choose from.

The 13-inch iPad Air costs $799, and the 11-inch costs $599.

iPad Pro

Apple introduced an updated line of its flagship iPad Pro tablets in versions with screen diagonals of 13 and 11 inches. The main innovation in iPad Pro is the use of high-quality OLED displays, which provide deeper blacks, high contrast and a wider color gamut.

In addition, the new models have received an updated design: the 13-inch iPad Pro is 20% thinner, and the 11-inch is 15% thinner. In addition, both models have become lighter.

The heart of the new iPad Pro is the new proprietary Apple M4 processor based on the neural engine, which not only provides high performance, but is also optimized for work with artificial intelligence-based functions. Also, graphite sheets are inserted into the main body, which improves thermal performance by 20%.

The iPad Pro also includes new iPad OS features: color correction, simultaneous opening of several windows, new applications for working in the field of music, filming and design.

In addition, iPad Pro has a 12-megapixel rear camera, a lidar scanner, and adaptive flash for document scanning. 

The 13-inch iPad Pro costs $1,299, and the 11-inch costs $999.

Magic Keyboard

The updated Magic Keyboard comes in two colors and is redesigned to be thinner and lighter. It is made in an aluminum case, which makes the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard combination even more similar to a full-fledged laptop. Also added is a function bar for quick access, an aluminum kickstand, and an adaptive trackpad.

The Magic Keyboard for the 13-inch tablet costs $349, and for the 11-inch tablet it costs $299.

Apple Pencil Pro

The company also announced the Apple Pencil Pro. Its key features are a gyroscope and a tactile sensor, which allow better interaction with various types of tools. In addition, Pencil 3 received support for the Find My function for locating a lost stylus.

Apple Pencil Pro costs $129.
